It is a cold, rainy day in Philadelphia today. There were a few snowflakes falling this afternoon and we are expecting a bit more snow over night. Is it just me, or do you just want to cuddle up on the couch on nights like tonight?
Typically, Mark and I run with our running club on Wednesday nights. When I heard the forecast for today, I had a feeling that our Wednesday night run was just not going to happen. As difficult as it was to pull myself out of bed early this morning after a night of election coverage, I knew it would be better than making the trek to the gym in the rain after work. By planning ahead, I was able to get my workout in and spend this rainy night inside on the couch.
It’s helpful to have a plan and it’s important to set yourself up for success. If you typically make excuses for skipping the gym after work, go to the gym in the morning. If you find yourself grabbing unhealthy takeout food every night, throw dinner in the crock pot in the morning. Figure out what works for you and stick with it.
