Weekend Recap
4January 20, 2013 by Sarah
It’s a three-day weekend, but Sunday night just feels right for a weekend recap of my meals, moves, and everything in between.
I was very much looking forward to a low-key Friday. We made salads with roasted sweet potatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and a grilled turkey burger (yum!) which we enjoyed while catching up on our DVR.
I decided to wake up early on Saturday morning and head to a free yoga class at Athleta. I love Athleta and I love yoga – it was a match made in heaven! It felt great to stretch it out, but I was definitely still tight from the marathon last weekend.
Mark had breakfast ready for me when I got home from yoga – banana chocolate chip pancakes and peppered turkey bacon. What a great husband!
After running a few errands, Mark and I headed to a wine pairing party. Our pairings included pinot noir with Fannetastic Food’s baked stuffed baby bella mushrooms and a chardonnay with apple crisp brie. I loved catching up with friends and tasting some delicious pairings!
Today was a spent relaxing and enjoying our neighborhood – breakfast at a new coffee spot and checking out the current exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was a beautiful day to be walking around the city!
Mark roasted a chicken for dinner which was AWESOME – I’ll be posting more details about that soon.
Time to spend the rest of my Sunday night relaxing with Mark and the dog!
What were you up to this weekend?
You’ve got yourself a good man girl! Those pancakes just sound amazing.
Yes I do! I definitely recommend trying the pancakes – we just added bananas and chocolate chips to Bob’s Red Mill multigrain pancake mix.
Love your weekend recap! We do the same sorta thing on Mondays (me) and Tuesdays (Natalie!). Wine pairing sounds divine!
I love weekend recaps – I will definitely check yours out. The wine pairing was a blast. Everyone brought a pairing and we tried them one at a time, starting with the white wines. It has become a bit of a tradition, this was the 3rd annual!
